Kolkata/IBNS: Starbucks' first ever Durga Puja inspired menu offers a convenient and mess-free option for people enjoying the Durga Puja festivities in Kolkata, especially those who love pandal (pavilion) hopping and want a quick meal on the go.
Based on the theme ‘Aamar Pujo, Aamar Starbucks’, the menu was recently unveiled at the Park Street outlet of this popular American brand.
Said Mitali Maheshwari, Head of Product and Marketing, TATA Starbucks, “With ‘Aamar Pujo, Aamar Starbucks’, we want to make Starbucks intrinsic to every celebration.”
For the unveiling, the brand had roped in popular chef and culinary expert Shaun Kenworthy to give his opinion on the special edition menu with store managers from each of their 10 outlets in the city presenting the food and beverages with a little poem of their own.
Kenworthy appreciated the idea that a large international brand like Starbucks was involved in a local festival, and the menu included a lot of Calcutta flavours which, he believed, everyone will love.

Highlights from the menu include Chingri Turnover (where the golden brown pastry was filled with spiced prawn or ‘chingri’ stuffing and topped with black sesame seeds), Bhetki Bhaja Sandwich (fried ‘bhetki’ fish, layered with ‘shorshe’ or mustard mayonnaise, fresh vegetables and lettuce, and served in mustard panini bread), Aloo Posto Burger (crumb-fried patty made with lightly spiced potatoes and poppy seeds, paired with fresh vegetables, and served in a poppy seed-topped bun), Mihidana Brulee (a fusion of sweet ‘mihidana’ and brulee, made with thickened milk and finished with a caramelized sugar top, saffron strands, and pistachio).
The special menu also includes coffee based beverages which may be enjoyed on their own or paired with the food.
The Chocolate Foam Cold Brew is a Starbucks signature cold brew, slow-steeped for 48 hours, topped with silky chocolate cream cold foam and finished with a dusting of cocoa powder while the Jaggery Cloud Latte was a rich espresso topped with a delicate cloud-like layer of jaggery powder.
The special menu is thankfully limited but diverse, making it easy to choose while you are in a hurry.
Customers can avail a discount on the second food item from the ‘Aamar Pujo, Aamar Starbucks’ menu, which will be available until October 5, 2025, according to Starbucks.
Apart from the outlets in Kolkata (with the Park Street and Southern Avenue outlets opening at 5am in the morning during the offer period), the special menu will also be available in Siliguri, Gangtok, Guwahati, Bhuvaneshwar, Jamshedpur, Patna and Ranchi, according to a note by the company.
