Karnataka focuses on golf tourism
Bengaluru, Apr 18 (NITN) Karnataka Tourism, following an amendment to its Tourism Policy 2015 to 2020, has included 18 sectors, such as golf, whose assets will boost tourism in the state, according to media reports.

The department has brought the 13 golf courses in the state under the ambit of tourism and has declared to offer incentives for viable investments in promotion of golf tourism in Karnataka.
 
Improved facilities and international standard golf courses will not only attract global visitors but also generate employment for local people.
 
According to reports, the department is also planning to subsidise and give tax discounts for the establishment of  infrastructure for Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions(MICE) in the state.
