Visakhapatnam: Industrialist Anand Mahindra, chairperson of the Mahindra Group, has weighed in on Visakhapatnam’s upcoming tourist attraction — a glass skywalk perched 262 metres above Kailasagiri Hill.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on September 7, Mahindra praised the project’s design but admitted it won’t make it onto his personal travel list.
“This new glass skywalk in Vizag, perched over Kailasagiri Hill, is reportedly opening next week and it’s already being touted as one of the tallest of its kind in the world,” Mahindra wrote.
“Unsurprisingly, China still holds the global records for skywalk height and length, with the Zhangjiajie glass bridge placed 300 m above ground and stretching 430 m long.
"But Vizag’s version isn’t far behind with a vertical drop of 262 m. It looks absolutely stunning, but will it make it to my bucket list? Probably not. Heights and I have a complicated relationship," he added.

Known for sharing travel experiences and insights with his 11 million-plus followers, Mahindra’s post highlights both admiration for the engineering marvel and his personal aversion to heights.
The Vizag glass skywalk, overlooking the Bay of Bengal, is expected to officially open to the public next week.
