Kolkata, Mar 25 (NITN): The Energy Forum 2019 was held at the ICCR in Kolkata recently where MIC for Power & NES, West Bengal government Shovondeb Chattopadhyay was the Chief Guest.
The Minister spoke about his department's performance in the energy sector and mentioned that West Bengal is a power surplus state and his steps towards digitization of services. He lauded the efforts of Energy Ensemble of bringing together on one platform the doyens of energy sector and hoped that the day long interactive session shall reap rich dividends.
He also unveiled the special edition of Energy Ensemble and a Solar Mobile Van by TATA Solar.

Following him an eminent panel including Dr Arup Roychowdhury Ex Chairman NTPC, RK Tripathy Member Technical, DVC, BP Singh Retd Member DERC, PK Bondria, CEO NSCPL, A S Bakshi Retd Member CERC and Subir Dutta, President Eastern Chamber of Commerce spoke at the inaugural session.
RN Sen Editor in Chief Energy Ensemble introduced the Forum's vision. Dr Arup Roychowdhury also unveiled the E-PAL Bidyut Sathi Mobile App. The entire program was presented by Subhojit Roy Secretary of Eastern Chamber of Commerce

The technical sessions featured various topics relevant to the energy sector as Power quality, Renewable Energy- Investment & Financing- The Major Gaps and Challenges, Indian Power Sector Reforms for Consumer's Plight to Delight – Role of the Regulator, Power quality, Renewable Energy- Investment & Financing- The Major Gaps and Challenges and Smart Grid & Electric Vehicle- The Road Ahead prospects and Challenges.
The companies included TATA Power, CEEW, ISA, GIZ, ISA, IPPAI, NPTI among others who presented technical presentations.
