A package called 'Kolkata Darshan' priced Rs 2000 per head has been introduced which will cover places such as Hooghly, Howrah Bridge, Victoria Memorial and others for a 10 minutes duration.
For those who wish to avoid 3-4 hour road journey, Prayag Aviation will also offer charter services to nearby holiday destinations like Tarapith, Mayapur, Joyrambati or Kamarpukur.
This charter services will cost approximately Rs 90,000 an hour.
Tollywood actress Pooja Bose was present at the launch shared her 10 minutes ride experience.
Speaking on the launch of Joyrides, Managing Director of Prayag Group Avik Bagchi said, “Joy rides in helicopter will be a complete new experience for the people. It has been the need of the hour to provide a continued and safe helicopter services for the purpose of tourism.”
He added, “Post our launch of corporate services in December 2012, we have seen a surge demand from this region. Infact our first helicopter has completed over 100 hours of flying in three months which is a feat. We are soon going to add another new helicopter to meet the growing demand in services.”
According to Bagchi the total investment for the project is Rs 100 crores.

Air India, India’s leading global airline, and Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, have entered a bilateral interline partnership aimed at boosting connectivity between the two countries.
IndiGo, India’s largest airline, is grappling with one of its most severe operational crises in recent years, with widespread flight delays and cancellations disrupting travel across the country for a second consecutive day.
Tata Group-owned Air India on Sunday announced the reinstatement of its codeshare agreement with fellow Star Alliance carrier, Air Canada, to offer more flight options for travellers and boost connectivity between India and Canada.
