The flagship store of Story, was launched in 15th April, 2014 in Kolkata. It is Eastern India’s largest standalone Bookstore covering an area of 15000 sq feet.
Through innovative technology and outstanding customer service, Story provides more than 1 lakh titles. The best basket of collectible pens and writing accessories is available in the 'Pen & Ink' section.
The 'Art Street' section offers art material and accessories.
The 'Gift It!' section has bountiful of special gift items, greetings section boasts of a wide range of all reasons greeting cards whereas the paper shop stationery section has a comprehensive range of house paper and stationery materials of different kinds.
Overall, Story has over 1 lakh popular books, 53 popular pen and stationery brands, 3198 amusing gifts and 2033 world class art and crafts materials.
Eventually a pilgrimage for all book-lovers Story has a massive collection of books of all genres and an entire dedicated floor for children. It stocks over 11 thousand exciting toys and 20,000 popular titles for the young ones.
There are books for specifically for toddlers, like, the ‘Baby Touch & Feel Series’, ‘Peek-A-Boo’, Pop-up Books, Flash Cards and ‘My first 100 words’. These books help the tiny ones to get accustomed to letters, colors, numbers etc via visual representation of the same.
For a young reader, there are books like, the ‘Lady Bird’ books Level 1-4, ‘Noddy’ story books by Enid Blyton, ‘Barbie’ books, ‘Geronimo Stilton’ books and ‘Chhota Bheem’ comic books.
For the pre-teens, there are books like, ‘Mallory Towers and St. Claires Series’ by Enid Blyton, ‘The Adventures Of Rusty &Other Stories’ by Ruskin Bond, ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid & Series’ by Jeff Kinney, ‘My Family and Other Animals’ by Jerald Durrell, ‘Percy Jackson and The Lightening Thief and Sequels’ by Rick Riordan, ‘The Golden Fortress’(Sonar Kella) and other stories by Satyajit Ray and ‘Charlotte’s Web’ by E. And custom picked for teenagers, are books like the ‘Harry Potter’ Series by J.K. Every Sunday, Story organizes the ‘Story-Teller’s’club meet, where various activities are planned for the kids to have fun while they learn, at its flagship store at Elgin road.
This has been particularly done to inculcate the habit of reading in young ones alongside the other activities and events organized by the bookstore for children.
Story organizes regular events for kids and two annual events, Winter Carnival and the Summer Fest. Summer fest includes summer camps which help children enjoy their summer holidays and also do something fruitful. In these events Story has different activities for kids like Fashion Shows, competitions, workshops.
There are a total of four Story outlets in West Bengal, i.e, Elgin Road; Diamond Plaza Mall, Nager Bazar; Avani River Side Mall, Howrah; Junction Mall, Durgapur.
Story participated at Kolkata International Book Fair, 2015 at Milan Mela ground. Around 20,000 people from all corners of the city visited the stall.
