The event will beheld from 3.00 pm.
The focus of the event is the completion of heart surgeries of 750 children by Rotary Calcutta Mahanagar. This is the highest number of heart surgeries any individual Rotary Club has done in the Rotary world.
"Out of these 750 surgeries, 175 were done at the request of the Chief Minister, Govt. of West Bengal," read a statement.
"A hundred of these 750 children are present at the event. These children are all from a background where the parents have income of only Rs. 4000/- to Rs. 5000/- per month (and each surgery costs upward of Rs. 1,00,000/-)," it said.
Nearly 30 of these children have over the years, come from Pakistan to get their heart surgeries done.
The last one Sapna aged 4 years had come from Sindh in Pakistan. She used to gasp for breath even at a little activity; but she has gone back healthy enough to run and play.
